Helene LeVasseur comes from a family of painters and as a young woman, she was taught the basics by her aunt who already was an accomplished artist. This fed her desire to continue her passion for Art. She went on to take courses at Mass College of Art and studied with the Cape Ann artists. She was especially influenced by Helen Van Wyk of Rockport.  She taught in the Continuing Ed Program at Lowell U, and other places, received an Art Culture Grant, exhibited from Maine to Penn., won awards and gave lectures. She paints almost everyday and is a member of the Whistler House Museum in Lowell, MA. the Chelmsford Art Society and a former member of the Copley Society, the Northshore Art Assoc., Lexington, Concord and New Hampshire Art Assoc.
